Become comfortable with a mindfulness service and building our mindfulness community

As part of the process of educating ourselves, becoming comfortable with a mindfulness service and building our mindfulness community, we will be offering an FJMC only session of the Institute of Jewish Spirituality's (IJS) class:

Jewish Liturgical Prayer: "Finding our Authentic Service," developed by Rabbi Jonathan Slater, who wrote the forward of our Mindfulness Service Guide. This is one of the classes of IJS’s Prayer Project.

The class involves listening to a recorded video and reading some texts.  These materials become available, via their online platform, on Sundays. We are asked to perform a short daily prayer practice Monday through Thursday and on Thursday night Rabbi Liben will facilitate this class via a Zoom conference.  There will also be an online chat facility.

Online video and materials will be released on the Sunday before each class on: 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17.

The class will meet via Zoom on Thursdays at 8 PM EST: 10/31, 11/7, 11/14, 11/21 for one hour per session.

Normally this class costs $150 but you are getting it at a bargain basement cost of $36 a person due to Rabbi Liben’s volunteering to facilitate the class and due to a generous donation from an anonymous donor.
