2007 Jack Lippe Memorial Scholarship

Club Name(s):

The Jack Lippe Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Jack Lippe, former president of the Agudath Israel Men’s Club and an active participant in youth programs as well as participating in synagogue activities and programs. The late Jack Lippe was a respected member of this congregation and a devoted Men’s Club member and president. He performed invaluable service with the youth of our community. To honor his memory and give assistance and recognition to deserving students, the Men’s Club Jack Lippe Memorial Scholarship Fund was established.

The scholarship is bestowed each year on a deserving senior or seniors in recognition of scholastic achievement, excellence of character, service to the community, and involvement in Jewish life.

Each year, the Men’s Club solicits scholarship allocations from area public and religious schools. A panel of judges then has the difficult task of evaluating the applications based on the criteria cited in the above paragraph. The Men’s Club has awarded over 50 scholarships totaling over $200,000 in the 20 years that the program has been in existence.
