"Muhammad Ali and Me – How I Wrote the Greatest Biography of All Time"

Jonathan Eig is the Author of five books three of them New York Times best sellers. Ken Burns calls him a "master storyteller." Joyce Carol Oates referred to his book, Ali: A life, as "an epic of a biography." Jonathan was born in Brooklyn and graduated from Northwestern University's Medili School of Journalism. He is a former staff writer for The Wall Street Journal. His books have been published in more than a dozen languages. His first book, Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig, won the Casey Award for best baseball book. Ali won the PEN/ESPN Award for Literary Sports writing. Ali was named best book of the year by Sports Illustrated; one of the ten best nonfiction books of the year by the Wall Street Journal; and one of the New York Times' notable books of 2018.
Esquire Magazine called Ali one of the 35 best sport books ever written. The book won best overall books in the British Sports Awards. It was a finalist for Mark Lynton History Prize: The Pultarch Award; the William Hill Award; the James Tait Black Award for biography; an LA Times Book Award for biography an NACCP Image Award. Jonathan has appeared on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Fresh Air with Terry Gross. and in three Ken Burns documentaries. He served as Consulting Producer on the eight-hour PBS Muhammad Ali documentary. His next book is a biography of Martin Luther King.
